What Migration Carries

Every dispatch is one village, one new-country town, and the dish that made the crossing. Eleven routes across the Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian diaspora — the Levantine trio, the mahjar — from the hills above Ramallah to New Jersey, Chicago, Tampa, Santiago, São Paulo, Puebla, Manhattan, Buenos Aires, Doral and Coral Gables. The food is the evidence.
